Baked Ziti
serves 6 to 7
Ingredients
8 oz. Ziti, uncooked
2 medium onions, chopped
3 cups spaghetti sauce
2 cups Cottage Cheese
2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray a 2-quart baking dish with non-stick spray
Cook ziti according to directions
Drain and rinse with cool water
Set aside
Mix onions and spaghetti sauce
In a large bowl, combine cottage cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, and garlic powder
Mix well
Add cooked ziti and mix well
Pour and spread 1/3 of the onion and spaghetti sauce in the bottom of the prepared pan
Spoon ziti and cheese mixture into the pan
Pour the remaining sauce into the pan
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes
